Norwood's dynamic junior point guard Meghan Reen has given her verbal commitment to play basketball at Assumption College in Worcester, MA.
In her first two years at Norwood, Reen led the Mustangs in almost every statistical category and was a catalyst in a significant turnaround in the team's record since her arrival. A two-time league all-star and two-time Norwood team MVP, Reen is well on her way to scoring her 1000th point during her junior year. Reen plays her AAU basketball for local powerhouse MT Elite coached by Missy Traversi. Editorially, having personally coached Meghan during her first two years at Norwood, Assumption will not regret the decision of offering her this opportunity via persistently recruiting her over this past year. Meghan was a joy to coach and is a pleasure watch as she plays the game with such a unique and relentless style. She makes the un-coachable plays on both ends, elevates her teammates' play and despite being highly regarded as one of the best players in the state - has no ego. She can score in a variety of ways, deliver full court passes on time and on target, cause havoc in the passing lanes, sneakily block shots and hit the glass extremely well for her size/position. This scholarship is well deserved and I look forward to watching her thrive locally at the next level.
